While the Vita is no longer being manufactured, you can now enjoy its games on your Android device using the Vita3K ZX emulator, which is a variant of the open-source Vita3K project.
Vita3K ZX is an experimental emulator for Android that allows users to play PlayStation Vita games on their smartphones or tablets. This modified version of Vita3K, which was originally developed for Windows, macOS, and Linux, is written in C++ and aims to bring Vita games to the Android platform, supporting titles like Killzone: Mercenary and Dragon's Crown. Unlike cloud gaming applications, it operates by running games locally through the emulation of the Vita's hardware, meaning you will need a capable phone but not a continuous internet connection. The emulator is compatible with legally obtained games in .vpk, .zip, or .pkg formats, and it is not associated with Sony nor does it utilize their proprietary materials. I tested it on my Samsung Galaxy S22 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 8GB RAM), and it successfully evoked nostalgic memories of the Vita!
